Description

A pure cotton saree from the Sambalpuri weavers of Odisha, worked in the traditional Baandha or Ikat method where the yarn is tie-dyed before it meets the loom. The soft pink body is edged with a deep red temple border of stepped triangles, and the pallu carries woven motifs at the end. Coloured with natural dyes, the cotton feels light and breathable, easy to drape for a long day. Each length varies gently by hand, so no two pieces read exactly alike.

Size & Fit

Saree length 7 metres, width 1.16 metres, with a matching blouse piece of 0.9 metres. The lightweight cotton (around 384 g) drapes softly and holds a neat pleat. Blouse to be stitched to your measurements.

*Material & Care

Pure Sambalpuri cotton, handwoven at 120 by 120 count, coloured with natural dyes. First wash separately by hand in cold water; mild detergent, no bleach. Dry in shade to protect the colour. Press on medium heat.
